The next two paintings have no sunlight on them. Why did Monet stop painting about this time of the day? (Perhaps not...maybe I just haven't found any more.)
I think there are no more in the afternoon because, as the sun set behind him, shadows from trees and multistory buildings began encroaching on the Cathedral and he did not want to paint those shadows.
